APS Ranked One of the Nation’s Top 10 Solar Utilities

Solar Panels Under the Desert SunArizona Public Service ranks fourth among American electric utilities for the most solar megawatts added to its system in 2012. This annual ranking is part of the Solar Electric Power Association’s (SEPA) Utility Solar Rankings report, which identifies national leaders in solar energy development.

With two utilities in the national top ten, Arizona is a clear leader in the development of solar power. APS Dedicates Foothills Solar Power Plant in Yuma

This week Arizona Public Service Co. and AMEC, an international engineering and project management company, announced the completion of the first 17 megawatts (MW) of the Foothills Solar Power Plant – the fifth APS AZ Sun facility and the first ever solar project to be built on Arizona State Trust Land.
